These inductors have the same structure as our Taiyo Yuden NRS series. However, the difference is that the metal core allows for even higher currents. Very high packing densities are possible due to an extremely small footprint and, in relation to this, very large connection terminations. Moreover, the component becomes highly safe through a good ratio of base area to connection terminations, i.e. it is easy to solder and reliable against vibrations and accelerations. Designs of 2.0 x 2.0 x 1.2 mm up to 4.9 x 4.9 x 1.4 mm with even higher current output than the NRS series are currently available. Due to the low level of self-heating, the inductors feature a high saturation current. An additional new feature for the user: clean and safe AOI is possible thanks to solder pad extensions pulled up at the side. Laterally upward solder pad extensions facilitate a clean and safe AOI.

With this MCOILS series, very flat designs are available: the optimal solution for small spaces or for protection against vibrations and accelerations. The extremely robust coils of the MCOIL series feature very high mechanical strength.
